Anwar Al-Awlaki is no more!

40 year old, New Mexico born, of Yemeni descent, Anwar Al-Awlaki was killed in an airstrike in Yemen on September 30, 2011. He was the leader of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. This bastard was responsible for the rhetoric that led to the deaths of many people. He received a Civil Engineering degree from Colorado State University, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University, and got his doctoral degree from George Washington University. Imagine that, all that knowledge, gotten on our soil, used to kill us. He wasn't poor, he was "civilized", and still wanted us dead. Why, because we are "Infidels". Period. Point blank.

Obama said last year that he wanted him caught or killed. Our Nobel Peace Prize recipient, ordered our military and CIA to find and kill this man for his ties to the attempted Christmas Day underwear bomber, the failed New York Times Square bombing, and the disastrous Nadal Hasan Fort Hood shooting in 2009. He was the Imam at several mosques in CO, CA, and Northern VA.

By the way, for those that say we should afford him his rights as a U.S. citizen, once he called for the murder of U.S. troops and U.S. civilians, and the fact that he was in another country while saying it, he committed treason, and to me gave up his rights as a citizen of this nation.  He actively joined al-Qaeda and the Geneva Convention does not cover persons not fighting under the flag and uniform of a foreign nation.

Adam Yahiye Gadahn aka. Adam Pearlman might want to rethink his current line of work, and might want to think of going into gardening or something. More details to come, so stay tuned...

UPDATE:

Also killed in this mornings attack:  Al Qaeda magazine editor Samir Kahn, also an American of Pakistani heritage.  He was in his 20's, and was from North Carolina.  Kahn's magazine promoted attacks against U.S. targets, even promoting in articles how to put together explosives. Khan wrote that he had moved to Yemen to join Al Qaeda's fighters, pledging to "wage jihad for the rest of our lives."

Turns out his life was very short lived indeed.
