How I deal with being Black with mixed children...

As you can see from my family's photo, that light skinned man (his mother is Hispanic, his father is white), is my husband, and all of those light-skinned little ones (or high-yellow as my sister jokes) are all of my children.  My husband came across a story yesterday morning that made my blood boil, and I came straight to the computer, without eating breakfast, or drinking my morning coffee, so bear with me.

Virginia father says he was suspected of kidnapping his kids by Walmart security -- due to his children being mixed

Now, as a background side story, my stepmother is white, my father is black, hence my youngest sister's high-yellow joke.  She is a mixed child as well.  When I was in the 1st grade (1985), my baby sister was born.  Back then parents could bring baby siblings to school for their classmates to see.  So, my mom brought my baby sister into my class, and I was so proud to show her off.  For the most part my classmates were very happy to meet her.  However, there was one boy who hated the racial makeup of my family.  He came up to me in recess, told me I can't have a black dad, a white mom, and a mixed sister that he called a freak.  Then this boy, who outweighed me and was about two inches taller, shoved me to the ground.  Well, my father didn't raise no wusses, so I got up off the ground and punched the crap out of that kid, breaking his nose.  I was marched off to the office, and waited for my father to arrive.  He was still active duty Army, so he showed up in uniform, and I just knew he was going to beat the living daylights out of me.  However, his first question to the principal was, "Did he touch my daughter first?"  Her answer was, "Yes." He responded by saying, "Then my daughter did exactly what I taught her to do."  My father then took me for Baskin Robbins Ice Cream.  Now, I will add that for all of kindergarten and all of first grade, I was the only black kid in my classes.  I moved to Maryland from living in Georgia, so I had a heavy southern accent, and big lips, and was teased mercilessly about how dark my skin was.  I hated school, and it took me a year to be able to hold my head high.  One day I eventually promised myself that I would never be a victim, or use race as a crutch in anything.

Now back to future times... This story hits close to home for two reasons:  One, my husband and I shop at that Wal-Mart all the time, and two, we've been looked down on because of our races.  I have had women ask me in the store, even in this particular Wal Mart, if I enjoyed babysitting all of these children.  To which my response is, "These are all my children."  I most times get looks of surprise, some of disgust, a few of joy.  I always wonder what is going through their heads, that their first assumption was that I was their babysitter, and then realize the arrogance of their comments.  Was it because I am black, and they are lighter, and black women don't have that many children anymore?  Probably.  I really want to answer someone in my heavy southern accent, "I'm their mammy, I birthed all of these babies!" ala Gone With The Wind.  But I don't think that would go over very well.

My husband has had people look sideways at him when he walks with my oldest, and she has had to tell people that he is her dad, not some sick boyfriend.  Our older children have cried when they were younger when we told them, "No, you cannot have a toy or candy."  Would security think they were not our children because someone thought that we "don't fit"?  I've had people try and cut in between my husband and I because they assumed we weren't together.  I've gotten nasty looks from other black women.  I'm guessing because I married outside of my race.  I just keep on moving and smile!

My husband and I are raising our children to be God-fearing outstanding citizens, who judges someone on the content of their character, not the color of someone's skin.  They were much older before they started asking why mommy and daddy's skin was different.  We told them that God loves a multitude of colors, and we love each other for who we are, not what we look like.  We just keep on moving!

How do I deal with this?  I pray that God gives me the strength to deal with ignorance and stupidity, and pray my children aren't too affected by it all.  I stand by my husband, and we raise our children with pride.

I am disgusted that this was Wal Mart's and the Prince William County Police Department's response.  That family deserves an apology from both parties, and this makes me wonder if my family will be next...

There is a special circle in Hell waiting for Kermit Gosnell!

Warning: Graphic material

I am crying while typing this particular post.  I weep for the lives that have been lost. This post is in memory of all of the future generations that will never be...

Kermit Gosnell's name and the names of his wife and their staff should be taught to every man, woman, and child, because what they are accused of doing to these women during abortions, aside from killing their babies, is the definition of evil.

Abortionists claim that because the baby is in the womb that it is the woman's property. That those little babies have no right to ever see the light of day.  So what is so wrong with Kermit Gosnell?  What he did is legal if the baby was still partially in the womb.  And some of them were.  And the ones that would kick and cry on the tables, well... the mom wanted the baby dead right?  So why are people so disgusted and outraged now?

For years pro-lifers have talked about the slippery slope of abortion, and what would happen if you have unfettered abortions with no limits, performed by people who have no conscience.  Is it OK to kill an unborn child when the mom is 30 weeks pregnant?  Because the argument used to be that is was wrong once the baby is viable.  So that now moves it back to almost 22 weeks.  Then the argument was whether or not the baby could feel pain, and doctors have now determined that an unborn baby can feel pain as early as 20 weeks.  But let me ask a question.  If doctors determine that a baby can feel pain as early as let's say 10-14 weeks gestation, does it make it worse still?  Statistically that's when most abortions are performed.  Will you change your mind then?  Will you still support abortion knowing that the baby will be in agony?  You can look at an ultrasound and see the baby very active in utero at that gestation, so what is causing those movements?  Obviously the nervous system is working, so can the baby feel pain?  Most of those abortions are performed by aspiration extraction,  which means their little bodies are being ripped apart piece by piece.  But never mind that.

Moving back to Gosnell.  He is a murderer, and he doesn't care about the blood on his hands.  Those women were like cattle to him, and his wife and their staff reaped the rewards of murdering day in and day out.  Even on Sundays!!!  Those mom's wanted their babies dead, and he was the man to do it.  But wait, remember a great deal of those babies didn't die in utero.  When they had the misfortune of being born alive, this bastard and his associates especially Steven Massof, cut their spinal cords.

And for grins and giggles, Gosnell cut off some of their feet and kept them in jars:

Kermit Gosnell even laughed at how big some of the babies were.  He once joked that one particularly large aborted baby, "Could walk to the bus stop."

This is where "choice" has led us.  A mentality of, "Hey it's not a person!  It's my right!" Let's not forget, our dear leader President Barack Hussein Obama, supported the killing of babies that survived an abortion, because if the end result was that the mother wanted to end the pregnancy, to allow these babies to live if the mom said no, would possibly undermine Roe V .Wade.

This is pure evil.  Where the hell is the left-wing media, and the women's rights groups? Where are the democrats and even some republicans who hold positions of power?  Why hasn't the president said ONE WORD about these atrocities?

I'll tell you what most of them are doing, hiding.  They are hiding because this ass showed the ugly side of their lucrative business.  The other details are so too gruesome and numerous to put down, so you can read it here.  By the way, if you think this is the only time things like this have happened, it's not.  Just not all in the same place, and not to this extreme.  He got caught, and that is the only reason we are hearing about this.  And every damned employee at the Pennsylvania Department of Health who was responsible for over-site of these clinics needs to lose their jobs!  They hadn't stepped foot in that cesspool in a decades!  We were criticized here in Virginia for taking steps to make the abortion clinics here clean up their act, but I am proud that our state government took a stand and won! We cannot have another Kermit Gosnell!!!

This piece of crap became a millionaire off of the blood of innocent babies, and the fear of their mothers.  His lawyers are claiming racism, I am screaming for justice for his victims!!!

"I just voted for him (Obama) because he's black"

*Warning: Foul language

No, I didn't, but America, we are in trouble.  Jimmy Kimmel has a segment of his show where he has his team go out on the street and ask about events that never happened, but to seem informed, people lie saying they had watched some random event.

Exhibit A:  People claiming they had watched the inauguration BEFORE it happened:

Exhibit B: Even more people claiming to have watched the Super Bowl before it happened:

Exhibit C:  Finally, the ultimate in stupidity (pay particular attention to the last answer given):

What pisses me off to no end, is the fact that the woman who gave the very last answer in the last video says how she only voted for Obama because he is black!!!

She couldn't give a damn what his policies were, but because he's a black democrat, then it's all gravy right?!?  How many times over have we heard this answer?  How many times were we called racists, and in my case, a sell-out, for mentioning this very point?  Her vote cancelled out mine, and the fact that that was her answer is a disgrace to herself, the black community, and America as a whole.  I was called ignorant, and a fucking moron, for pointing out that so many blacks only voted for Obama because he's a black democrat.  I pointed out how there are many whites who voted for him, because they had a sense of "White Guilt".  This woman in two sentences says what I've been yelling about for 4+ years now.  The people in these videos vote, and have proven that they don't pay attention.  How are you feeling knowing that they will cancel out YOUR vote next time around, because the conservative base will sulk and stay home if they are still licking their wounds from this last election???  This shouldn't be a conservative or liberal problem, or a black, white, or red problem, but the fact is, this is what the democrats have reduced us to.  Get informed!  This is an AMERICAN problem, WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

54 Million deaths, and counting...

Together, we resolved that a great nation must care for the vulnerable, and protect its people from life’s worst hazards and misfortune.
~ President Barack Obama during his 2nd inaugural address January 21, 2013.

Too bad these words don't apply to the unborn. The number above is how many lives have been snuffed out because of legalized abortion through Roe v. Wade. This does not include the hundreds of mothers that have perished from said abortion. Click here to visit The Blackmun Wall. How can we as a "civilized society", turn a blind eye to the atrocities of this cruel procedure? Yesterday marked the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Society has placed the value of the unborn to be less than nothing. Not human. A clump of cells. Not alive until birth. We have not made enough progress to be one step closer to saying, "We are better than this!"

So how does Center for Reproductive Rights celebrate 40 years of death? With this garbage below:

How can a black man, whose own race is being wiped out at a faster rate than slavery even thought of, support a procedure who's founding principles within Planned Parenthood was the extinction of the "undesirables"?

We want to say how it is so horrible how many people died through communism in the last century. Hitler, Stalin, Mao Zedong. But point out how many have died through abortion in the last 40 years, and you're evil incarnate. Why? If abortion is such a benefit, such a "moral obligation", then why doesn't the left want to talk about that number? At their next rally, maybe they should have a banner made to hang above the stage that reads, "50+ million and counting!!!" Because nothing screams, "strong woman" like having the power to kill your unborn. Some women are proud of their abortion, or have had multiple abortions like it is birth control.

The woman below was there for her FIFTH ABORTION!!!
~It was taken at Orlando Women's Center on June 20, 2012. The girl in the pink dress happily posed at the killing place & said she hoped her picture would be put on Facebook. This young mom was there to get rid of her baby late in pregnancy, by labor & delivery (Partial Birth) abortion. She casually told John that this was her 5th abortion.~
We have put mother against her own flesh and blood for supposed convenience. Other women are at their weakest, because they feel hopeless, lost, scared. The man in her life is supposed to be there to protect and take care of her and their child, and instead, he's probably the main reason she feels the need to have an abortion. And as far as the argument of health of the mother in late term abortions... please tell me how having an abortion at 30 weeks is more beneficial than just delivering the baby by cesarean section. We know the baby can survive at that gestation. They can survive at 28, 26, 24, and 22 weeks gestation. I was a preemie. I weighed less than two pounds when I was born, and fought for my life for three months in the NICU at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I was the first to survive at that gestation there. But according to pro-abortionists, I was not a human at that gestation, not alive, not a person. Aborting me at that gestation would have been perfectly fine by them because I was just a clump of cells.  That industry has since  perfected killing babies at that gestation, over the last 20 years. Partial birth abortion is the most barbaric atrocity committed against the most defenseless among us.

This story yesterday made me sick to my stomach. Cuomo is a typical liberal "Catholic". Hello Cardinal Dolan?!? Why hasn't he been excommunicated yet?!?

NY Dem Gov. Andrew Cuomo Pushing Bill Allowing Third-Trimester Abortions…

I am so disgusted by the attacks against those of us that fight for life. Like we are uncaring, and hateful. We are the ones who run Crisis Pregnancy Centers, Rachael's Vineyard, and Gabriel's Project. We are the ones who donate our time and treasure, to these centers, and shed many tears for the constant loss of life day after day, week after week, year after year, decade after decade. The evil of abortion is now good, and those of us that fight for life are bad. I have always said it was the people of faith that ended slavery, and it will be people of faith that end legalized abortion!

I am my parents miracle, and am very grateful that they saw me as such, and not as a burden to them. We need to change hearts and minds to show the mother, that there is hope, there is help, and that they CAN MAKE IT!

Thaddeus Matthews and his Black on Black hatred...

This is one of the most disgusting things I've seen in a while. This is an interview, or more like a verbal bashing, between a host named Thaddeus Matthews, and his guest Charlotte Bergmann, who is running for office in Tennessee. So much for "Southern Hospitality" and "Chivalry", because I have never seen such a disgraceful show of hatred toward another human being, let alone a "man" talking to a woman:

As much as I talk, I had to search for words as to how this makes me feel. Thaddeus Matthews should look in the mirror and ask himself what is he doing to better the mentality of those in the 9th district. If his behavior on air is any indication of the way blacks there feel about someone who is black and a republican, then God help the people of that area. How very sad that he feels so superior to that woman, that he has no problem telling her to shut up. You Thaddeus are a disgrace to men, and an impediment to improving dialogue within the political arena. You are part of the problem, not part of the solution. What a waste of what could've been a gateway to looking at both sides of what's going on in black communities across the country.

Way to go Mayor Nutter!

Click Here: Mayor talks tough to black teens after flash mobs

I had a great conversation today with my friend Austin Hill, who sat in for Chris Plante who's on vacation. Austin and I have spoken many times on air, and today was particularly wonderful in the sense that finally, this issue is getting the attention it deserves. Recently Bill Cosby said something along the same lines, about taking personal responsibility so we don't get to this point of the black youth running rampant, and was blasted by blacks who thought he was being condescending. Now those same blacks want to listen because they are being affected first hand by the violence these mobs are creating. I'm wondering when the president, and AG Eric Holder are going to make a comment. These kids idolize Obama, so he may be the only one to reach these kids, because their parents and community sure aren't able to.

There was something that I thought about while reading this article. In the movie Boyz N The Hood, part of the story is about two black brothers who are being raised by a single mother. One brother wanted to do the right thing by graduating high school, and going on to college and play football. The other brother didn't want to do anything but sit around getting high, being jealous of his brother's success. Therein lies the rub. How can two people raised together in the same house, have such completely different wants out of life? The answer is simple: personal responsibility. A lot of people want to just blame bad behavior on single parents especially if they're poor, or claiming that it is part of their culture, but there are plenty of people who come from single family homes who go on to do great things. There are also those who come from homes of wealth with both parents, and they still turn into some of the most vile people you'll ever come across.

This didn't start out about race, although it turned into that very quickly. They have the same mentality of these people burning England to the ground: We are going to make the rich people and conservatives pay. Poverty doesn't mean stupidity, but until these youths learn that no one owes them a damn thing, and they pay the price for the destruction and physical pain they've caused, they will only perpetrate the notion that they will be nothing more than hoodlums, who no one will trust, take seriously, or want to hire.

Bravo Mayor Nutter for saying what has needed to be said by a public official, but not nearly enough, for a very long time.

Why do true racists and liberals get a pass?

Photobucket

Photobucket

These men I have pictured here are two of the biggest hate filled people I have ever heard. How is it that a sitting Congressman (Moran - Top), and a now deceased Senator (Byrd - Bottom), can spew so much hatred and still have a job? Byrd was a Klansman. He started the KKK in West Virginia, and used to recruit new members. And what was his reasoning for joining? He chalked it up to being young. Oh, well since that's all that needs to be done to make amends, then why didn't Christine O'Donnell get a pass about the whole witch thing when she was in high school? She was young. Why did they rake her over the coals mercilessly, until she had to come out with that commercial (albeit a silly one)? Why is it that Byrd can call someone a "white nigger", and no one barely says a word? The left wing media will continue to give him a pass, and exhalt him as a great leader.

Jim Moran (D) 8th District-VA is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to saying hateful things. He said that the only reason Democrats lost in November 2010 is because America doesn't want to be led by an African-American, that we're racists. To an Arab t.v. station no less. Right, that's why Obama won the presidency with a win in Virginia. That's why there were a number of African-American Republicans who won in this last election. We don't hate Obama because he's Black, we don't want him telling us that we're hateful, or that we're the enemy, or how to spend our money. Moran also said that a decorated Army veteran of 24 years, COL Patrick Murray, had no public service. To possibly die for the safety of this country is the ultimate public service. Moran is a disgrace, and I'd like to ask those residents of VA- 8th district, "Are you proud of who you have representing you? Why did you vote for him?" This is just two examples of his animosity to conservatives, and the country as a whole.

Who's going to hold them accountable? Who going to tell them to their faces that they are a disgrace? I hope that one day the elitist MSM would treat this kind of hatred to the right, with the same disdain they assume the left receives. Until then, we'll continue to be sickened with the so called media corps.

I commend CBS...

I know that sounds crazy, and people that know my political views will probably think I have lost my mind. But let me clarify: CBS stood their ground on a hot issue that plagues our nation and the world as a whole. As most of you have probably heard by now, CBS aired a commercial during the Super Bowl that Tim Tebow and his mother put together with the help of Focus on the Family. Tim Tebow won the Heisman Trophy in 2007, and has won two BCS championships. The rub: a TV commercial retelling of how this amazing football star came to be. While in the Philippines doing missionary work, a pregnant Pam Tebow became ill and the doctors told her she should abort her 5th child. Her response was absolutely not. After seeing the commercial, I think the pro-abortion side has shown what complete fools they have made of themselves.

This post has taken a while for me to put together, because I wanted to have enough material for you to view as a backdrop for where I'm coming from. Please go to the individual links to read the topics in more detail that way this doesn't scroll on forever.

Where have we come as a nation, and a human race as a whole where the unborn are deemed mere property, and if you want to defend those that cannot defend themselves, you are anti-woman, sexist, bigoted, or any other name pro-abortion advocates want to hurl at us? Me defending the unborn is no more preposterous, than me raising my right hand and swearing to defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic. Or to speak out on the atrocities of slavery, (more on that in a moment). I am looked at as a radical because I state that the unborn should be able to see the light of day. To be able to smile at their mothers and fathers. To grow and do great things.

I have five beautiful children, and I sit at night and wonder what type of world are we leaving for them, where people say that the elderly, the unborn, the disabled; have no right to life because they might be an inconvenience to someone else. Here is one article that made my stomach turn that happened recently in my state of Virginia:

Mother won’t be charged in newborn baby’s death:

This story is beyond horrific, and the fact that some politicians won't touch the issue because it's too close to the issue of abortion is a cop-out. They are cowards if they look at this story and say it infringes on a women's right to abortion. I pray that this will never happen again in this nation where a baby can be born, be breathing, and still be killed by it's mother, and all because the baby is still attached by it's source of nourishment and life for nine months.

The next issue that really irks me is in the following story:

Atlanta Billboards Link Race, Abortion

What angers me the most about this article is the arrogance of Professor Beverly Guy-Sheftall, to say that, "Many black people don't know who Margaret Sanger is and could care less." While I agree that many Blacks may not know who Margaret Sanger is, I'll bet that if you told them her goal was the destruction of the Black and poor communities, they would be outraged. And add to that, that there was a company in their neighborhood that was responsible for so many of our brothers and sisters being snuffed out, and was began by a racist and eugenics enthusiast, they'd be screaming for the business to be shut down. Planned Parenthood wants to hide this little tidbit of their company's past, and unfortunately people have blinders on to what this group is all about. All you have to do is type her name in Google and learn the truth, and hear it from her own mouth.

The final story that I want to speak about has caused much outrage in the past week, but I will continue to support my view of this statement, muchto the chagrin of many that I know:

Black Pro-Life Leader Defends Congressman Trent Franks on Abortion-Slavery

How many more Black babies have to die before the Black community wakes up to this holocaust in the womb? Where are our Black leaders? The few that do speak up are shouted down by the likes of Jehmu Greene. Jehmu Greene, a prominent leader for abortion rights, is a Black woman who walks around like supporting abortion is the greatest achievement of her life. How sad; she should be lifting up her fellow sisters, and helping them keep their babies and help them see that they are proud and strong, not tell them that it is empowering to have the ability to kill their unborn child. It is infuriating that most Democrats talk about equal rights, but that never extends to the unborn, elderly, or the infirmed. The unborn are now treated like property, and have no say on whether they can make it out of the womb.

They are less than human. The are inferior. It's my body. It's my property. Mind your business. Sound familiar? The last time our nation made most of these arguments, Blacks were bound in chains, and being herded like cattle.

The unborn are not property. They are their own person. They can grow to do great things. How many doctors, lawyers, scientists, teachers, or even future presidents have been killed in the name of "choice"? Look at it this way: in the time it took you to read this post, an average of 30 babies have been killed...and that's just here in this country.

When will it end? When will we take their hands, not their lives? For the sake of humanity and our very souls, I hope soon this living nightmare will end.

Harry Reid is at it again...

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Harry Reid apparently thinks that Black people are supposed to sound a certain way. At least that is what was reported over the weekend, in a book "Game Change" coming out this week. While I'm all for letting people hang themselves if given enough rope, I will say again this man is a disgrace, and needs to be put out to pasture. The fact that he says that Obama had a great shot at winning the presidency because he is light-skinned and doesn't speak with a Negro dialect ought to offend Blacks and Whites, Republicans and Democrats. The fact that it was said in private doesn't matter. The fact that people are making excuses for him yet again, is what disturbs me the most. I don't care that the President accepted his apology, he had the temerity to disparage a whole race of people, by implying we all supposedly speak a certain way. How dare he!!! Last time I checked there is no such thing as a Negro dialect. Maybe I missed something, but when I went to school there was one way of learning to read, write and speak. To say we as Blacks should sound a certain way is absolutely outrageous! Since the buck stops with the President, why doesn't he ask for Reid's letter of resignation? Of course he won't do that because he needs Reid to push this garbage health care bill through. And apparently Obama owes his presidency to Reid. Where is the Congressional Black Caucus? They're actually defending Reid! Where is the supposed Black leadership of this country? They're all defending him, because the President defended him. I'm wondering; if Obama would've turned Reid away, would these people still be protecting him? Or would they dump him like a cheap prom date? Hmmm...I wonder...

We're a nation of cowards...Congrats America!!!

Once again our esteemed Attorney General Eric Holder (the first Black Attorney General I might add), has said we are a nation of cowards. Eric Holder, the same guy who couldn't be bothered to follow through on voter intimidation charges against the NEW BLACK PANTHER PARTY, has said that we need to spend more time talking about race. OK Eric, let's talk about race involving this last presidential election cycle. I'll get to his other comment about us being cowards in a moment. By the way, it does no good to be the first anything if you are an utter failure at it.

When Barack Obama was nominated for president, all everyone talked about was how we could have the first Black president!!! All I could think of was if he failed, everyone suffered, no matter what the race. And here we are 10 months later, and on the brink of ruin. Anyone who harshly questioned Obama during the campaign was either a racist, or an Uncle Tom. A whole lot of white people were more worried about not offending a Black person. Never mind if their complaint was legit, they made themselves feel better by saying, "Maybe it is time for a Black president. We are a nation of change". Black people flooded the airwaves and streets saying that it was about time, all the while ignoring the obvious pandering nature of this candidate. We weren't allowed to say his middle name, it was racist; we couldn't ask about his college papers, and transcripts, if we did it was racist; we couldn't question Michelle Obama, we couldn't question his affiliations, we couldn't question his non existent voting record...I think you get the point. Then we come to election day, and what happens? The New Black Panther Party intimidates voters by standing in front of the buildings with large pieces of wood. Message received - if you come here you'd better tow the line. So what did our justice department do? Absolutely nothing. Then we have the lovely Professor Gates. What did the President say...oh that's right, that the police acted stupidly. Don Imus said something stupid and was crucified. The President says something almost as dumb, and we are supposed to ignore it. How are we supposed to talk about race when the conversation is so lopsided? Whites will continue to be portrayed as the enemy, and blacks will be treated with kids gloves, as long as those in the spotlight continue to say that race is a major factor. It's only a major factor when they want it to be.
Now on to the second comment of us being a nation a cowards...we are not afraid of what KSM might say in court. We are afraid of some judge or jury feeling sorry for him, and releasing him back into society, and there won't be a damn thing we can do about it, because he will be tried as a American citizen. Because Holder guaranteed that Muhammad would be found guilty, he is tainting the jury pool, and possibly giving his lawyers (lawyers from the firm you came from), a way to ask for a dismissal of charges because of comments made by the President and Holder. For goodness sakes, you are both lawyers!! HOW could you be so arrogant? Please for all our sake, stop talking, and tell those on the left to pipe down. Or are you the ones that are truly cowards by not standing up to your base? Hmmm.....how's that "Hope" and "Change" thing working out for you?

I am furious...

(Damian's Baptism)

Hello all!!!
I am furious at lot of things that I will get to in a moment, but first let me say a few things about myself.

I am a devout Catholic, which I'm sure will tick off a lot of people to begin with, but that's ok I don't mind a friendly debate
Happy .

I am a pro-life homeschooling mom of 5 beautiful children (another sticky topic for some). I am an army brat who's father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, mother, step-mother, and various other family members served before me (of course we're all brain-washed). Patriotism flows through every fiber of my being. I have raised my own hand to defend this country against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. I will speak on my military background in more depth another time. I have a wonderful husband whom I love dearly -we met while we were stationed in Korea - and has been by my side since 1999 (married in 2002), and oh! I'm also a Republican. Let's see, I also am an expert marksman (shooting firearms), and in case anyone missed it, I am Black.

With that being said, I do not apologize for who I am. I'm usually a happy go lucky person, and it takes a lot to anger me. The goings on over the last year has me peeved like I havn't been been since 9/11/01. I worked at Ft. Belvoir that fateful day, and remember vividly looking at my boss and saying we were under attack when the first plane hit, and was out the door shortly after the Pentagon was hit (I could see the smoke billowing off of the Pentagon while crossing the Woodrow Wilson bridge). I knew that day was a long time coming and that we would make them pay. As the months passed I was in full support of our government going into Afganistan, and hesitant about Iraq. I have always felt we should have tried Hussein as a war criminal with crimes against humanity, like we did Slobadan Milosevic. Waging everything on chemicals that could and were easily moved, was a mistake to me. However, now that we're there, we need to completely finish the job. People in Iraq should be able to walk the streets without fear, just as they can in Germany, or Italy.

OK, so to more recent events...when the Democratic Party put Pres. Obama's name in for president, my first reaction was, Who? I had never heard of him, so I started doing research, and what I started to hear frightened me. One, he was barely a senator for a year. Two, he mostly voted present when he was there. Three, he had some of the most liberal views I had ever seen. Four, he made some very derogatory comments about our armed services, and he clearly was not a champion for the unborn.

I loudly voiced my concern to my family, who's immediate response was, "but he'd be the first Black president". To which my response was "So what, if he sends our country down the toilet, I won't care that he's Black, I will care that he's incompetent". I told another family member that we would be the laughing stock of the world, if the only reason we voted for him is the color of his skin. That the Muslim terrorists would look at him as a traitor to their faith, and that Iran, Russia, and North Korea would look at him as a softie. I saw him repealing every prolife measure that president Bush enacted. I saw all of these things coming, and I was laughed at, or worse yet ignored. People said he was diffent, and all I saw was a person coming out of the Chicago political machine. I know there were some that thought of me as an Uncle Tom, or a sellout, but I could've cared less, I was going to vote with my conscience.

Now about his abortion view; I couldn't stand the fact that a man of the Black community, who's mother raised him by herself, would support an organization that would've told his mother while she was pregnant with him, that she would be better off without him. The ad below says it clearly:

The fact that he can kiss the behind of organizations that are destroying the littlest of lives, and the Black community en masse, while proclaiming to fight for the weakest among us would be laughable if it weren't so deadly. The first thing he did was repeal the Mexico City Policy. During the first week, he also vowed to repeal the Hyde Amendment if brought before him. The baby in the womb is not just a clump of cells, or another species of being. It is a human being, that if left alone will live to see the light of day, and take it's first breath. As I type this my 1 month old son is using his lungs to their full potential and letting me know that he is unhappy. He was born at 37 weeks. According to our president it would have been ok for me to have killed my baby for any reason at all, and if he survived the attempted abortion, to let him die. That he had no rights. Where do any of our "rights" come from if there is no right to even live? How can we as a country look at an unborn baby, an elderly person, or someone who cannot take care of themselves anymore, and the only thing they can think of is how much that person is a burden to them or society? You see I'm a true feminist. The first feminists were prolife by the way. I believe that women are the strongest beings on earth. To tell a woman you're not strong enough to deal with hardship or difficulties, is an insult. To tell a woman that killing your own flesh is empowering is demeaning. Pro abortion advocates are all for the killing of unborn babies. But those very same people want to cry foul about the death penalty, and how we treat terrorists and criminals, or little animals, (I love animals by the way). Imagine that; a mass murderer has more rights than my little baby.

Which brings me to my next point. How the hell can Khalid Sheikh Muhammad be brought here to our court system, and given rights he does not deserve? This is the same monster who beheaded Daniel Pearl, and people are outraged that he had water poured on his nose?! What rights did he give Mr. Pearl who was only there to cover a story? This monster (I will not give him the decency of the title of man), who cares so little for human life, is afforded more compassion than unborn babies, Terri Schiavo, those who are permenantly incapacitated. How can that be! Our country was founded on blood, but it was the blood of men who sacrificed all so that we can be free of tyranny. Not have our government rule us with an iron fist. To tell us that Blacks were 3/5 of a human was egregious. That they were property, no more than cattle, to be branded. And guess what happened: people got fed up, and did something about it. The sooner we look at abortion, and euthanasia the same way we looked at slavery, that these are people that need our love and compassion, not scorn , our country will start to get back on the right track.

Now on the issue of our economy...our president promised the world to everyone about everything. So much so that people were feeling like this:

How anyone can look at this clip without an ounce of embarassment is beyond me. This is what Americans thought a million times over; Obama will give me what I need, Obama is going to take care of everything. The oceans will recede, the smoke stacks of our industrial sector would cease to exist, the money would flow like water, and everyone would be rich. Never mind if some of these now rich people didn't work for it. Quite frankly if I owned a million dollar business, I'd be quite worried right about now. The fact that you might have worked your entire adult life to build that business doesn't matter. Obama says you owe your hard earned money to someone waiting for a handout. America voted him into office because he read a teleprompter well, and sounded eloquent. Whites voted for him because they might have felt guilty about not voting for the first Black president, and most blacks voted for him just because he's Black, which brings me to my last point...race.

As a Black woman, I am appalled that society wants to lump me in with every other Black person, and say we cannot think for ourselves. That we are like sheep following one train of thought, and if we stray from that we are a sellout. That if you are poor you will never be successful, and to blame your situation on White people, or Blacks that are successful, that we don't care about them. Does the content of one's character not matter anymore? Just because I am Black doesn't mean I automatically votes for Blacks, anymore than because I'm a woman means I should automatically vote for a woman. I was raised to be independant, and think for myself, not conform to what someone else says I should be. We as Blacks have overcome the worst kind of evil, and some Blacks have replaced one type of slavery with another: the physical bonds of slavery with the slavery of the mind. Well I have broken free from those chains and will not raise my children to depend on the government for anything. I pray for those who hate me because I don't think the same way they do, and hope my children will not have to defend their ethnicity like most feel they have to do. To not use their race as a crutch, that if they don't succeed to work harder for what they want, don't automatically think someone is a racist. I worked hard all my life, and any successes I haven't accomplished are of my own accord, no one else's. My children will be proud of their heritage, they are a mix of Black, White, Native American and Hispanic. They will look at the world through eyes that have not been blinded by hatred or malice, but love and the possibility of things to come.
