I'm fed up with this administration...

You know I try to be a pretty happy go lucky person. But recent comments from the left, and even our own President really have me pissed. I can put up with a lot of things, but to have the leadership of this great country call me the enemy is beyond insulting. I am an Army vet...I raised my hand to defend this country against all enemies, not made up ones. To tell me because I don't think the same way you do, that I am the enemy, or a domestic terrorist, or that I have an old attitude about families, goes beyond the offices these politicians hold.

This post is going to be short and to the point. I'd like to ask my family, friends, and colleagues who are Democrats to think about these few questions: One - When you hear the President tell Democrats, that Republicans don't care about their fellow man, and are the enemy, does my face ever flash across your mind? Two - Do you hear these comments and say to yourself, I believe this because President Obama says it? Three - Do you ever stop to think about those who are in your lives that might be a different political party than you, and how those words affect our lives? And four - If I were to run for political office, and someone smeared my name, or called me a bitch, or a whore, or a homophobe, would you defend my honor, or would you let it go and say nothing because I'm a Republican? I'm thinking of running for office one day, and I'd like to know where I stand with those closest to me. We can be different parties and disagree peacefully, or we can let partisanship tear this country to shreds and destroy ourselves from within, doing the real terrorists job for them.

What a bunch of hypocrites!!!

OK, so I was watching Hannity, and I saw a statement from NOW (National Organization for Women), in regards to a deplorable comment from Jerry Brown's campaign, when they thought the phone was disconnected from a previous call. Brown approved the possible use of calling Meg Whitman a whore.

What makes me ill is not only this despicable conversation about a women running for political office, but the lame response from the California branch of NOW:

"The abuse of employees, whether in the workplace or in the home, is not acceptable," Bellasalma said. "It's a pattern that's developing about how Meg Whitman treats people who she believes are beneath her. It's a cynical game of the Republican Party, putting up candidates who are anti-women to garner women votes superficially."

Let me get this straight: They are calling Meg Whitman anti-woman, even though, last time I checked she is a woman. Maybe it's because she's pro-life right? Nope...she's pro-abortion. So the only reason they can possibly have any thing negative to say about her is that she's a republican. Wow, what a bunch of confused, sad little people.

NOW is an obsolete organization that is neither respectable, or truly for defending equal treatment of women. They only want to defend those that are pro-abortion and have a 'D' after their name. Because you'd best believe that if that was a republican calling a democrat woman a whore, all hell would break loose, and there'd be rioting in the streets. This is a testament to the true hypocrisy of the left, and what they truly think of their fellow Americans...

Women can do it by themselves...

This is what was said by Jennifer Aniston recently, when speaking about motherhood. News flash Jen: being a mother is more than how you conceive. She had a husband who wanted children; she didn't want them. He left. Her career was first. Now she's at the point where she feels she has no other choice but to do it alone. Boo freakin' hoo...

I have five children that eagerly await seeing their father when he comes home from work. There's usually a tug of war battle between my 13 year old and her younger siblings on who can get to daddy first. It's usually my 3 year old who squeezes in-between the other 3 children and gets to daddy first and claims her prize. Ah...sweet victory for Sarah. The baby is usually last only because he is then a permanent fixture to Tony's lap for the next 30 minutes. This is a great part of the day. Not only is my life partner home and I can look at his handsome face, but a much needed break is sure to follow, as I sneak downstairs. But it wasn't always this cozy picture.

When Dena was a baby, I was a soldier, and a single mother. I worked my ass off to prove myself as a woman and single mother in today's Army. I'm all for women's empowerment. I could run and ruck just as well if not better than my male counterparts. I excelled at my job. I was an expert shooter. My commander once said that if he could choose any person to take to war with him, it would've been me. Yet all of this came at a price. My day started at 4am, and I had enough time to get on my PT uniform, grab my BDU's, my food for the day, get Dena dressed and hit the door by 4:30. I dropped her off by 5:15, and was in formation by 6am. I worked a 10 hour day (sometimes more), picked her up from daycare about 5:15, and home by 6:15 pm, if I was lucky to not fight traffic. That was my day Mon-Fri, and sometimes on the weekend if we had an alert. It was like that for 6 months until I moved on post. When she was 18 months old I was sent to Korea. While there I found out the head of my left femur had died and I needed a total hip replacement. There went my military career. Life was rough, and there were many times that I was very grateful to my father for being the role model my baby girl needed.

I am eternally grateful for my husband who stepped in and has been a constant in Dena's life since she was two. He is my rock, my best friend, and the father of all my children.

Being a mother or father is more than just biology. It's a lifetime commitment, full of blood, sweat, tears, pride, failure, and lots of time and devotion. It's giving of yourself when you have nothing left. It's late nights, early mornings, long days, and you telling yourself man if there were only 2 more hours in a day...

It's moments of self doubt, great triumph, and prayers that your children will turn into productive members of society. If you're a service member, police officer, or firefighter, the constant unknowing of whether you're coming home that day makes it even harder. If you're poor, or even middle class, you can multiply everything I just wrote above by 10. Our children need fathers. They need a loving environment, where a child can look into their parents loving eyes, and know that their mom or dad would walk through Hell in gasoline underwear to keep them safe. That we would give our lives in a heartbeat if it means they can survive. To denigrate that by saying, "women no longer have to “settle” for a man in order to start a family", is not conducive to what we need in society.

To my sisters and brothers who are raising children on your own, I commend you. To those who are married and raising children, I commend you. Both are hard endeavors, and I've been on both sides of the spectrum.

The rest of the world is NOT Hollywood, and this is not a damn movie where everything ends with roses and sunshine. I just wish those in Hollywood would just make a good movie, and stop trying to sound so much more knowledgeable than us "regular folks". But I guess when you have lots money, you can look at the world with such a narrow view in regards to parenthood.

Tea Party Caucus

OK...it's been a while since I've been on, and truth be told there was very little that I felt like talking about, I was busy mothering my children. So on July 21st, I was one of about 20 people who went to Capitol Hill to speak about the newly formed Tea Party Caucus. I was first introduced to Rep. Michele Bachmann, who breezed into her office carrying an infectious type of energy with her. She is spearheading this caucus for us to be able to truly reach our politicians. After meeting with her we went to another meeting room, where about 20 other Congressmen and Women, came to meet with us. They were all very receptive, and friendly, and a couple of them just loved playing with Damian. I'll try and get a list of attendees later...

We met with them for about 45 min, and then left for the presser that was set up near the steps of the Capitol. I was first to speak after Rep. Bachmann opened up the press conference. Let me just say: I've spoken on the radio many times, but that is nothing compared to getting up in front of the national news media, with about 30 video and still photo cameras, knowing that millions of people will see you speak. On a side note, I looked at my speech and realized that I looked angry...I was, but my facial expression was more of heat exhaustion...it was almost 90 degrees, and there was barely a breeze. And on top of that, I was holding Damian who was very busy trying to look at everyone. So hopefully next time, I won't look like I'm ready to punch someone! After speaking, Rep. Bachmann came up beside me to let others speak, and was blowing on Damian to help keep him cool, as was Rep. Louie Gohmert, who just loved playing with Damian. I've gotten criticism already in some media saying it was a staged photo op. One, I didn't bring my baby for a photo op. He's a nine month old who is still very clingy at this age. I am a mother who takes proper care of my children, and I wasn't going to leave him with someone who may or may not have been able to calm him down. Second, as I just stated a moment ago, Rep. Bachmann was blowing on his face to keep him cool, he liked that and reached for her face to try and give her a kiss, which is how this picture happened:

Photobucket

I have seen numerous reports that I was paid to be there, and those of you who know me, also knows I am very passionate about our country. I was not paid, I was invited by a friend, and I will continue to fight the good fight for the future of my children. I met some wonderful people there, and will be working hard to continue to get the people's voice heard. I look forward to meeting with them again next week, and look for more updates later...I hear my children arguing, so duty calls!

I am not a terrorist!!!

I am sick and tired of the left labeling us Americans, terrorists every time they feel threatened in any way. I have a God given right to exercise my vocal chords in protest to this horrendous bill, a bill that the majority of us never wanted! This is Congressman Clyburn of South Carolina saying we are the terrorists:

The only thing I want from our government is to protect us from the REAL terrorists, you know the ones that are training in Afghanistan to try and kill us every day of the week. You want to see terrorism Congressman? Go sit in one of our military transport vehicles in Afghanistan, go out in a convoy, and pray to God you make it back in one piece. Stay out of my life, and do your job!!!

I commend CBS...

I know that sounds crazy, and people that know my political views will probably think I have lost my mind. But let me clarify: CBS stood their ground on a hot issue that plagues our nation and the world as a whole. As most of you have probably heard by now, CBS aired a commercial during the Super Bowl that Tim Tebow and his mother put together with the help of Focus on the Family. Tim Tebow won the Heisman Trophy in 2007, and has won two BCS championships. The rub: a TV commercial retelling of how this amazing football star came to be. While in the Philippines doing missionary work, a pregnant Pam Tebow became ill and the doctors told her she should abort her 5th child. Her response was absolutely not. After seeing the commercial, I think the pro-abortion side has shown what complete fools they have made of themselves.

This post has taken a while for me to put together, because I wanted to have enough material for you to view as a backdrop for where I'm coming from. Please go to the individual links to read the topics in more detail that way this doesn't scroll on forever.

Where have we come as a nation, and a human race as a whole where the unborn are deemed mere property, and if you want to defend those that cannot defend themselves, you are anti-woman, sexist, bigoted, or any other name pro-abortion advocates want to hurl at us? Me defending the unborn is no more preposterous, than me raising my right hand and swearing to defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic. Or to speak out on the atrocities of slavery, (more on that in a moment). I am looked at as a radical because I state that the unborn should be able to see the light of day. To be able to smile at their mothers and fathers. To grow and do great things.

I have five beautiful children, and I sit at night and wonder what type of world are we leaving for them, where people say that the elderly, the unborn, the disabled; have no right to life because they might be an inconvenience to someone else. Here is one article that made my stomach turn that happened recently in my state of Virginia:

Mother won’t be charged in newborn baby’s death:

This story is beyond horrific, and the fact that some politicians won't touch the issue because it's too close to the issue of abortion is a cop-out. They are cowards if they look at this story and say it infringes on a women's right to abortion. I pray that this will never happen again in this nation where a baby can be born, be breathing, and still be killed by it's mother, and all because the baby is still attached by it's source of nourishment and life for nine months.

The next issue that really irks me is in the following story:

Atlanta Billboards Link Race, Abortion

What angers me the most about this article is the arrogance of Professor Beverly Guy-Sheftall, to say that, "Many black people don't know who Margaret Sanger is and could care less." While I agree that many Blacks may not know who Margaret Sanger is, I'll bet that if you told them her goal was the destruction of the Black and poor communities, they would be outraged. And add to that, that there was a company in their neighborhood that was responsible for so many of our brothers and sisters being snuffed out, and was began by a racist and eugenics enthusiast, they'd be screaming for the business to be shut down. Planned Parenthood wants to hide this little tidbit of their company's past, and unfortunately people have blinders on to what this group is all about. All you have to do is type her name in Google and learn the truth, and hear it from her own mouth.

The final story that I want to speak about has caused much outrage in the past week, but I will continue to support my view of this statement, muchto the chagrin of many that I know:

Black Pro-Life Leader Defends Congressman Trent Franks on Abortion-Slavery

How many more Black babies have to die before the Black community wakes up to this holocaust in the womb? Where are our Black leaders? The few that do speak up are shouted down by the likes of Jehmu Greene. Jehmu Greene, a prominent leader for abortion rights, is a Black woman who walks around like supporting abortion is the greatest achievement of her life. How sad; she should be lifting up her fellow sisters, and helping them keep their babies and help them see that they are proud and strong, not tell them that it is empowering to have the ability to kill their unborn child. It is infuriating that most Democrats talk about equal rights, but that never extends to the unborn, elderly, or the infirmed. The unborn are now treated like property, and have no say on whether they can make it out of the womb.

They are less than human. The are inferior. It's my body. It's my property. Mind your business. Sound familiar? The last time our nation made most of these arguments, Blacks were bound in chains, and being herded like cattle.

The unborn are not property. They are their own person. They can grow to do great things. How many doctors, lawyers, scientists, teachers, or even future presidents have been killed in the name of "choice"? Look at it this way: in the time it took you to read this post, an average of 30 babies have been killed...and that's just here in this country.

When will it end? When will we take their hands, not their lives? For the sake of humanity and our very souls, I hope soon this living nightmare will end.

State of the Union Address

Tonight the president will be addressing the nation...again. That being said here is a video that was sent to me today that reflects my feelings about the current administration:

And before people criticize me, yes I did disagree with things that Bush did. I'm not so blind to my party as to ignore when an administration is doing something stupid. If this administration doesn't wake up, (this applies to Republicans too), we will vote you out...
