Debbie Wasserman-Schultz got what she deserved!

OK, before I even get into what happened with Rep. Allen West the other day, and whether or not he owes her an apology, I'd like to refresh everyone's memory of just a few things this nasty woman has said:

*On April 22, 2009, The House Judiciary Committee wanted to add an amendment to include attacks against military veterans to hate crimes legislation, Wasserman Schultz said that would be belittling to gays, blacks and Jews:

Uh, Debbie since this statement, have you not seen the targeted attacks of our troops here at home? How about an apology to them?

*She accuses Republican of wanting to take us back to the days of Jim Crow laws, when discussing Voter ID Laws:

Debbie, for elections to be validated by some sort of I.D. is not racist, it's common sense. Illegals can't vote, so as long as you're here LEGALLY, having an I.D. shouldn't be a problem. Still waiting for an apology...

*And last but not least, she admits that she is a bomb thrower:

Now with these few incidents pointed out, she made it a point to lead a protest in front of Rep. West's office before the last elections, and as usual accused republicans and tea party members of hating women, and being extremists:

If anyone being told about themselves had it coming it was her. Now there are Jewish, Democratic, and Women's groups, all screaming for an apology, with Rep. Mike Honda (D-CA) leading the way by saying the following:

"First, let me first say how honored I am to serve with Debbie Wasserman Schultz, easily one of the most courageous colleagues in Congress. Anyone who calls her less hasn't been paying attention to anything that's been happening in the halls of Congress recently. Debbie and I serve together on the House Budget Committee and it is clear that this woman - or may I say lady - shows unparalleled commitment to the concerns of this country, something not all Members have exhibited in recent days. Secondly, I have serious concerns about the context in which these salacious slurs are allowed to happen and are even encouraged. Public opinion of policymakers is already quite low, why in the world would Rep West want to undermine it further by stooping to such undiplomatic demagoguery? Not unlike the pastor in Florida who burned the Koran, knowing all too well the forthcoming media frenzy, this action by West is hardly different. Extremism in all forms must be chastised immediately - by policymakers and by the press."

These people have no shame, and I for one, am proud of LTC.(R) Allen West for sticking to his guns, and not backing down from the hatred on the left. I only wish that more conservative politicians will support Rep. West in this brutal fight. As someone who has met him personally, he is every bit as awesome up close, as his is on T.V.  Don't apologize Allen, we have your back!!!

Bill Maher's show needs to end!

WARNING: The following video is very vulgar. Viewer discretion is advised.

On July 12, Bill Maher implied that he wouldn't mind a Palin/Bachmann runoff so the voters of American could split the MILF vote. Then that following Friday night, he and his guests had this friendly little conversation:

Now just replace the Bachmann's name with the Obama's name while the Obama's were aiming for the White House. Would Bill Maher still be on the TV today, if he had let that conversation slide in 2008? The answer is a resounding no! The fact that they think these types of comments are funny, including the woman on the panel, and almost the entire audience, is disgusting. How much more can that fool say before HBO yanks him off the air. He's not funny, and he and his guests owe the Bachmann, and Santorum families an apology.

Boycott PepsiCo!!!

Senomyx, the research and development arm of PepsiCo, has been using aborted fetal kidney cells, to make our drinks taste better through artificial flavor enhancers! This is absolutely disgusting, and anyone who ignores this can think about all of the aborted babies every time you drink PepsiCo products.

I have long since stopped drinking Coke products because Warren Buffett has endorsed continued abortions in developing countries, and owns 200 million shares in the beverage product. Warren will be donating 12 million shares of his wealth - approx. $40 billion - to the Gates Foundation when he passes on. The Gates Foundation is valued at approx. $30 billion, and focuses a great deal of their money to paying for abortions.

I thought one of the arguments for abortions was to help poor women out of a crisis pregnancy? So why not donate these billions to crisis pregnancy centers to help these mothers so their babies can live, instead of paying for more death here and abroad?

I will now be adding these drinks to the list of products NOT to drink:

• Pepsi soft drinks
• Sierra Mist soft drinks
• Mountain Dew soft drinks
• Mug root beer and other soft drinks
• No Fear beverages
• Ocean Spray beverages
• Seattle's Best Coffee
• Tazo beverages
• AMP Energy beverages
• Aquafina water
• Aquafina flavored beverages
• DoubleShot energy beverages
• Frappuccino beverages
• Lipton tea and other beverages
• Propel beverages
• SoBe beverages
• Fiesta Miranda beverages
• Tropicana juices and beverages

This makes me sick to my stomach that Senomyx couldn't come up with another way to make drinks and other food products taste good. This is truly not only a horrible end for these unborn babies, but a stain on this nation that will never wash away. Please print out the following flyer and pass it around!

Should the government remove obese children from their homes?

Harvard Researchers Want Fat Kids Taken from Their Homes

The simple answer is no. If the government is worried about the health and well being of obese children, then help the family as a whole. More than likely the parents are obese as well. Stress is a major cause of weight gain. Now imagine obese children around the country being removed from their homes, and see what type of epidemic occurs. That may cause more harm emotionally, physically, and psychologically, than just helping the whole family unit. My children are naturally slender, but I have repeatedly had doctors ask me do I feed my children enough food. What happens if they think I'm lying, when I tell them that my children eat like horses? Anyone who has seen my kids eat can testify to that! Will they call the state to have my healthy, happy children removed because they think they are too skinny? If Mrs. Obama can enjoy her 1500 calorie lunches, so can everyone else.

Leave families alone, unless there is real abuse involved. Put more P.E. into their curriculum, and require that students need 4 phys ed credits to graduate from high school. Make the school day an hour longer if need be. The government has more important things to worry about, like our budget.

New family member on the way!!!

For those of you who don't know yet, Tony and I are expecting our sixth child in January! I wanted to wait until I was almost through my first trimester, before really making it public, but we are very excited! There is a running argument between our oldest son and his younger sisters on whether we are having a boy or a girl. As always, I'm praying for a healthy baby, and a smooth delivery, and we'll keep everyone posted as time goes on! Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes, and I look forward to talking to everyone soon!

Sarah Piccini's Framing Faith

Sarah Piccini's book, Framing Faith: A Pictorial History of Communities of Faith, is an enjoyable book that I found to be extremely rewarding to read. The book delves into the influence of faith in the lives of Catholic immigrants to the North Eastern part of Pennsylvania during the late 1800's and the early 1900's. It took me back to my high schools days, and visiting Pennsylvania Dutch Country, and feeling a sense of awe in how religion influences communities. This book goes into a brief history and overview of 10 Catholic churches with an amazing array of photos by photographer Ivana Pavelka. It also has a basic layout of how most Catholic Churches are arranged, and what different items are and what they mean to Catholics.

The beautiful work of photographer Ivana Pavelka, and her students from the ARTS Engage! program are simply breathtaking.

I sat and actually let my children look at the wonderful display of the history of these churches, and they recognized some of the items and statuary. This would be a great family book to snuggle up with!

I would recommend this book to someone who loves history, particularly if they like religious history. These memories will now live on in the hearts and minds of those in that part of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and in the hard work of Sarah Piccini, Ivana Pavelka, and the Lackawanna Historical Society, just to name a few.

Here are a couple of pictures from the book:

Bin Laden is dead...now what?

Now that Bin Laden is dead, what should we do? I've spoken to my friend Chris Plante many times about this. Chris would ask me what is our mission over there? Here's how I saw it: Our main mission when we first went in there was to rout out the Taliban and Al Qaeda, and to capture or kill Osama Bin Laden. Period. Not to build schools and roads, or hospitals or the Afghani military. Kill the bad guys and leave. Now we can leave. The rebuilding of that country is up to the Afghani people.

There was much criticism about the wisdom of fighting in the mountains of Afghanistan. After the beating that the Russians took in the 80's, people thought it would be unwise. There were others however, just a few weeks after 9/11/01, who quietly worked behind the scenes in Afghanistan. Those who said, "We will make those that attacked us pay."

Tonight America can celebrate a victory that was a long time coming. I'm watching people dancing and cheering in the streets. It's now almost 0100 on the morning of May 2, and there are still people pouring into Times Square, and gathering outside of the White House. We deserve this. I hope those overseas that were dancing in the streets while our buildings burned, and people jumped to their deaths out of the windows of the World Trade Center, are now watching us dance. This monster had attacked us time and time again, and I hope he felt a cold chill when he realized he was going to die.

Housed in Pakistan, in a military area about 60 miles north of Islamabad, Bin Laden and one of his sons, were living in a specially built compound. So now I'm wondering who gave up his location? Whoever they are, they are very rich indeed. Our military command with the help of Islamic Affairs is handling his body, and they are treating him with more respect than his own people have done with our troops.

I remember seeing the Pentagon on fire that horrible day on 9/11/01. As I raced into Maryland across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, I was filled with a rage that rose within me like a volcano. I knew we would strike at those that hit us, and we would hit them with the full might of our military. Although many of my family and friends have been to either Iraq or Afghanistan, thankfully they all came back alive.

I am forever indebted to those that gave their all. I am grateful to those who have served, are still serving, and those that have yet to serve. And to our Special Forces...you are the reason America will sleep better tonight! May God bless you and this great country!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
